Join us for an “Excellent” 80s-Themed Respite Care Event on Saturday, September 21, 2024 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.!
Have A Heart is stoked to bring you a righteous Adult Respite Care day, that's all about the 80s! This special event is designed for adults with physical and developmental disabilities (age 18+), and it’ll be packed with gnarly activities inspired by one of the most iconic decades ever—the 1980s!
What to Expect:
Rad 80s Crafts: Get creative with a blast from the past! We’ll be making neon accessories, decorating cassette tapes, and designing classic 80s gear—think leg warmers, slap bracelets, and more. Everyone will have the chance to show off their totally rad style!
Totally Awesome Games: Get ready to play some bodacious outdoor games with an 80s twist! .
Retro Snacks: Let’s munch on some classic 80s treats! Attendees will even learn how to make their own retro-inspired snacks—hello, 80s snack packs!
Bust a Move: We’ll groove to the most excellent 80s tunes! From Madonna to Michael Jackson, everyone can hit the dance floor and learn some of the most iconic moves of the decade. Don’t forget to practice your moonwalk!
"Rad" Karaoke: We’ll wrap up the day where participants can grab a mic for some karaoke fun. Whether it’s belting out “Eye of the Tiger” or jamming to “Don’t Stop Believin’,” this is your time to shine like a true 80s rockstar.

Since 2008, Have A Heart has been dedicated to supporting adults with disabilities. Our day center, surrounded by family farms, is nestled on 5 acres and features an adaptive gym and a beautiful barn used for fundraising events. We create a safe, enriching environment where everyone can thrive and express themselves.
Our daycare program offers personalized care plans that promote independence, creativity, and socialization. Through activities like arts and crafts, games, sports, cooking, baking, gardening, music, and outings, we encourage participants to build friendships and have meaningful social experiences.
